That Rams Christmas Game Already Has Seattle Counting Down!

Alright, 12s, buckle up! You know how it is in early April, we’re just soaking in the sports world, watching everything. And BAM! The NFL schedule for 2026 just dropped, and guess what? FOX Sports is already flagging a Christmas Day showdown with the LA Rams! Yeah, I know, it feels like forever away, especially when we're still looking at the early goings of other seasons, but a Christmas game against *them*? That’s not just a game, it's an event, and the Emerald City is already buzzing with the kind of excitement that gets us through the offseason.

You know the drill. That Rams rivalry runs deep, right? Every single time we clash, it’s a brutal, hard-hitting dogfight, a battle for bragging rights in our own backyard. Now you throw in Christmas Day, a national audience on FOX, and the stakes just skyrocket. This isn't some random mid-season matchup, this is a chance to put on a show for the whole country, especially against a division rival we love to beat. The source didn't even drop the specific storylines, but they’re saying there are FIVE distinct storylines to watch just in *that* game alone! You know what that means: every angle, every player, every single snap is going to be scrutinized under the brightest lights. It’s exactly the kind of high-tension drama that fuels the fire for what’s to come and sets the tone for the entire season.

For Coach Mike Macdonald and OC Brian Fleury, this schedule release, especially that Christmas Day game, isn't just a date on the calendar. It’s a massive, flashing red target. It sets a powerful tone for the entire 2026 season from day one. You know they’re already looking at the matchups, dissecting film, thinking about how our guys like Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp are going to prepare physically and mentally for such a monumental game. This isn't about current form or performance *right now* in early April, because we're still deep in the preparation phase. Instead, it’s absolutely about the mindset, the dedication, and the relentless grind that starts now, knowing a game of that magnitude, with all those eyes watching, is waiting later in the year. It’s an early rallying cry for the team and for the 12s.

So, what's next for our beloved Hawks? Well, the grind truly continues! While we're all certainly looking forward to the rest of April and the ongoing sports calendar, this Christmas Day battle against the Rams is officially circled on every calendar in the Pacific Northwest. It’s a huge statement game already, promising high drama and potentially unforgettable moments at Lumen Field that could swing the momentum of our season. We're already anticipating the electric atmosphere and the deafening roar of the 12s. Get ready, Seattle, because the 2026 season is already looking like it's going to deliver some serious holiday cheer, hopefully a dominant Hawks win!
