The Croft Twins' Wild Rivalry Is Fueling Undefeated Runs, And Nobody In Boxing Is Ready For It

Alright, Emerald City, get ready for a story that's gonna blow your mind. You think the intensity of our 12s is something? Imagine that energy bottled up, multiplied by two, and then thrown into a boxing ring. We're talking about identical twins Garan and Ioan Croft, 24 years old, both undefeated in their pro careers, and they just signed with Matchroom Sport, shaking up the boxing world already. These brothers are pushing each other to insane new levels, and if you're not paying attention, you're missing out on some seriously electric talent!

Twin Trouble: Why These Brothers Are Sparring Partners From Hell

Seriously, you thought sibling rivalry was bad in your house? These two take it to a whole other galaxy. Garan, who's the older one by a whole minute, said it himself: "We've always wanted to do better than each other." He's not kidding either. Whether they're out running, crushing it on the assault bikes, or climbing vertically, they absolutely have to beat the other guy. It gets so wild sometimes, they even have to be separated during sparring sessions! Their parents can vouch for it, they've been this competitive their whole lives. But Garan smartly points out that this intense drive is actually a "great asset" for a training partner. The cool thing is, we won't ever see them fight each other professionally because Ioan is a middleweight and Garan is a super-welterweight. That means double the wins for us, baby!

Matchroom's Big Bet: From 'Lost Trust' to Title Shots

Big moves, folks, big moves! Matchroom Sport chairman Eddie Hearn himself called these guys "two very talented young fighters" when they inked their deal in February of this year. And they didn't waste any time showing why. Just two months later, in April, both brothers won their Matchroom debuts! Ioan shut down Serbia's Novak Radulovic, and Garan absolutely dispatched Marco Simmonds of England, bringing his perfect professional record to six wins out of six fights. Ioan is absolutely hyped about the Matchroom backing, saying it's "everything that we've ever worked towards" and giving them a platform to shine. He mentioned how before, they'd win and not even know what was next, but now they have a clear path for the next few years, and it's a huge incentive to work even harder. Garan echoed that sentiment, calling it "where any young boxer wants to be" and raving about the "massive" opportunities. His dream? To bring "big nights of boxing back to Wales" with Matchroom's support. These brothers actually turned pro back in 2024, leaving the Great Britain squad just five months before the Paris Olympics because they'd "lost trust" in GB Boxing. Now, they train with former WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla at the Fox ABC gym. Garan thinks Ant is one of the best coaches out there, giving them that extra confidence with someone who's "been there, done it himself." Ioan loves the "positive environment," saying it "doesn't feel like work" for them. They're so fired up, Ioan wakes up on Monday mornings excited to hit the gym. That's the kind of passion we love to see! So, what's next for these undefeated phenoms? With Matchroom behind them and titles on the horizon, every fight is a step closer to Garan's dream of bringing those big nights back home. You better believe their next bout will be must-watch TV. Get ready, because these brothers are coming for everything!
