The NFL Apologized to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Nobody in the League Is Ready For It

Alright, 12s, you will not believe what went down yesterday! Our guy, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, just got a full-blown apology from the NFL. An actual, official apology! Why? Because they hilariously messed up and tried to label him as the "Oefensive Player of the Year." Yes, you read that right, with an 'O.' And JSN, being the absolute legend he is, responded by showing off a "Defensive Player of the Year" award. You just know he's already cooking up something special this season, messing with the league like that.

JSN's Already Playing Mind Games

Seriously, can you even make this stuff up? The league's still getting our young phenom's name right, and he's out here flashing DPOY awards. It is May, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is already winning the internet and probably half the league's locker rooms. This is the kind of fire and personality we need in the Emerald City, especially with Sam Darnold throwing him the rock. It sets a tone, right? This isn't just a typo, folks. It is a sign that JSN is locked in, focused, and maybe just a little bit petty in the best possible way. The buzz around him is already electric, and if he is this entertaining before we even hit training camp, imagine what T-Mobile Park will be like when the games actually start counting. You just know Mike Macdonald and Brian Fleury are loving this energy.

Seahawks Buzz: Front Office Moves and New Faces

But wait, there is more buzzing around Lumen Field than just JSN's award show. Our Assistant GM Nolan Teasley is getting a second interview for the Vikings job. That is a big deal, showing our front office talent is getting noticed league-wide. Plus, get this: the Seahawks and Cowboys might hold a joint practice at VMAC! Talk about some early season action to get hyped about, seeing our guys like Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed go up against another squad before the real fireworks begin. We also avoided an overseas game again, which is a huge win for player travel and our loyal 12s who want to see every snap right here at home. While the NFL is expanding international games in 2027, our Seahawks are staying put, and we are all for it.

On the roster front, we are already hearing big things. Undrafted free agent Aidan Hubbard snagged a cool $267K guaranteed, a clear sign the team believes in him. Predictions are already swirling about whether Bud Clark can step up into a key defensive back role for us, and we are hearing that Deven Eastern is exactly what Mike Macdonald wants up front. And let us not forget Dante Fowler. His impact could mean serious Ws for the Seahawks this season, especially with Macdonald's defensive scheme taking shape. The pieces are coming together, and the energy is palpable.

What's Next for the Hawks

With all this early season chatter, from JSN's league-shaking antics to new talent making waves, the 2026 Seahawks are already shaping up to be must-watch TV. We have got a fresh coaching staff, new faces ready to shine, and a swagger that starts right at the top. Keep your eyes peeled, 12s, because this team is ready to make some noise. It is going to be a wild ride, and you know we will be here for every single second of it. Get ready!
