If you love seeing local talent shine, this is where it's at, fam!

The Undefeated Powerhouses You Can't Ignore

You want a story? We got two of 'em. Look, Liberty Christian snagged that #1 seed with an insane 8-0 league record, sitting pretty at 18-2 overall. That's just flat-out dominance, right? They’re the team to beat, no question. But then you scroll down the bracket, and what do you see? Colton, rolling in as the #6 seed, also UNDEFEATED in league play with a perfect 9-0 mark and a stellar 15-1 overall record. Yeah, you read that right. Two teams haven't dropped a single league game, and they're both eyeing that state title trophy. Can you imagine the intensity if these two juggernauts meet? My blood pressure is rising just thinking about it!

But it's not just a two-team show. The field is packed with serious talent. Sunnyside Christian is holding down the #2 spot with a strong 12-5 overall, while #3 Almira-Coulee-Hartline boasts an equally impressive 6-0 league record, also at 12-5 overall. DeSales rounds out the top four seeds at #4, sitting at 12-6 overall. Every single one of these teams has earned their spot, and in a single-elimination tournament, anything can happen. We saw a bunch of these athletes getting shout-outs for "National Girls Athlete of the Week" votes earlier this season, with nominations popping up through March and April. It just goes to show the caliber of competition we're talking about here across the state. These kids are legit!

Who's Playing Who and What's Next

The first-round matchups are set to kick off some serious action. You’ve got Colton squaring off against Muckleshoot Tribal, Naselle taking on Quilcene, Wilbur-Creston battling Wahkiakum, and Dayton facing off with Ocosta, all starting at 3:00 PM on May 21st. Each of these games is win-or-go-home, meaning every pitch, every swing, every defensive stop is going to matter big time. The pressure on these young athletes is immense, and that's what makes championship softball so exciting to watch.

The whole thing culminates on May 23rd with the Championship game at 3:30 PM. Think about it: a champion will be crowned, dreams will be made, and some incredible memories will be forged.
