Von Miller's 9-Sack 2025 Season and Nobody in the NFC West Is Ready For What That Actually Means For Our Hawks

Hold up, 12s, you gotta hear this. Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller, yeah, *that* Von Miller, is making some serious noise, and it's not just a whisper from Denver. The dude, who just logged a nine-sack season for the Washington Commanders in 2025, just declared he's "for sure" playing in the 2026 season. And get this: he's already straight up lobbied Denver Broncos coach Sean Payton to bring him back home. What does a 37-year-old game-wrecker still doing it mean for our beloved Seahawks and the wild NFC West? It means we gotta be watching.

The 9-Sack Veteran Still Got It

Let's be real, most guys are thinking about retirement at 37, but Von Miller isn't most guys. This dude is an unsigned, unrestricted free agent right now, but he's not hanging up the cleats. Think about that: a nine-sack season in 2025 with the Commanders! That's not some relic playing out the string, that's a disruptive force who can still get to the quarterback. Our offensive line, and especially Sam Darnold, needs to be ready for any threats brewing in the conference. A player like Miller, even at his age, still commands respect and can change a game.

A Bronco Reunion Brewing?

The thought of Miller back in a Broncos jersey is wild. He spent 11 seasons absolutely tearing it up for Denver, racking up a ridiculous 110.5 of his 138.5 career sacks with the franchise. Remember, he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams right before the trade deadline in 2021, but now he's making it clear he wants back in. Lobbying Sean Payton isn't just a casual conversation, that's a direct plea from a legend. If Denver pulls the trigger, that puts another serious pass-rushing threat on a team we could easily face down the line in the NFC. So what's the deal for our Hawks heading into the 2026 season? We know our guys like Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba are working hard to be ready for whatever the league throws at them. The good news is, our Seahawks are already getting some serious love from the experts, listed as Super Bowl favorites right up there with the Rams, Ravens, and Bills. We're looking at a huge year. A player like Miller, potentially still impacting games in our conference, is just another challenge we need to be prepared for. Get ready, 12s, our Seahawks kick off the season against the New England Patriots on September 9th. It's gonna be a ride!
