Xtreme Gaming's 75-Minute Clutch Puts Them on the Hunt for $250,000

Alright, Emerald City, listen up! The DreamLeague Season 29 online tournament is absolutely WILD right now, and if you thought the stakes weren't high, you're trippin'. This isn't just some casual game, folks. We're talking a cool $1 million prize pool, and after Wednesday's insane lower-bracket action, three teams just refused to pack it in. Tundra Esports, Xtreme Gaming, and BetBoom Team all stared elimination in the face and said, "Not today!" This is the kind of competitive fire we live for, you know?

No Quit in Sight: Tundra and Xtreme Battle Back From the Brink

You gotta hand it to these teams, the double-elimination playoffs are brutal, and you blink, you're out. Tundra Esports, after taking a hit in the upper-bracket quarterfinal, bounced back with a massive 2-1 win over Virtus.pro. They dropped the first map, a 44-minute grind, but then absolutely rallied for two sick wins in 35 and 40 minutes. Their man Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov was a beast, putting up a 26-9-29 kill-death-assist ratio. That's how you lead from the front, right? Then there's Xtreme Gaming, who started their playoff run already in the lower bracket after finishing sixth in Group B. They went up against Team Liquid and punched their ticket to stay alive with a clutch 2-1 victory. Talk about a comeback! They took the first map in 44 minutes, Liquid hit back with a 36-minute win, and then Xtreme just dug deep. The decisive map? A ridiculous 75-minute marathon that they absolutely owned. Cheng "NothingToSay" Jin Xiang led the charge for Xtreme, dropping an absurd 31-12-40 K-D-A ratio. That's the kind of grit the 12s appreciate, no matter the sport!

BetBoom Refuses To Be Denied, The Hunt Continues

Not to be outdone, BetBoom Team, who also took a loss on Tuesday, powered through Vici Gaming for their own 2-1 win. They snagged the first battle in 56 minutes, Vici leveled it up with a 52-minute victory, but BetBoom locked it down, claiming the final map in 46 minutes. Their leader, Danil "gpk" Skutin, was all over it with a 29-14-39 K-D-A ratio. These squads are hungry, and you can feel it! This whole DreamLeague Season 29 tournament kicked off with sixteen teams back on May 13. The best-of-three matches are flying by, all leading up to the best-of-five grand final this Sunday. You know what's on the line for the winner? A cool $250,000 in player prize money, an additional $40,000 for the club, and 6,000 ESL Pro Tour points. Tomorrow, Thursday, we've got Natus Vincere facing off against PlayTime in the final lower-bracket opener. Then the upper-bracket semifinals hit: Team Falcons vs. PARIVISION and Team Spirit vs. Aurora Gaming. You better believe Seattle sports fans will be watching to see who keeps that championship dream alive!
