Your Seahawks Obsession Is 'Entertainment Only' Says CBS, And That's The Real Bomb Dropped on Seattle

Alright, Seattle! You bleeding green and blue? You live and die with every single play from Sam Darnold, every clutch hit from Cal Raleigh? Good. Hold that passion tight, because a bombshell from CBS Sports made it all crystal clear: what we do here, what we shout from the rooftops at Lumen Field, what we feel in our guts at T-Mobile Park, it's all for "entertainment purposes only." You read that right. And honestly, it flips the script on how we talk about our teams this early season.

The 'Entertainment Only' Reality Check Hits Different in the Emerald City

You spend all week debating Cooper Kupp's targets with your buddies, you analyze every pitch Julio Rodriguez sees. We all pour our hearts into these games, right? Mike Macdonald's fresh Seahawks squad, Joey Daccord stopping pucks for the Kraken, Cristian Roldan leading the Sounders. We dissect every early trend, every injury report. But according to the big media players like CBS Sports, all that intense analysis, all that raw emotion, it's "for entertainment purposes only." They even explicitly state they make "no representation or warranty as to the accuracy of the information given or the outcome of any game or event." Talk about a gut punch to anyone trying to make an early season call on how this 2026 season is gonna shake out for the Emerald City!

The Illusion of Certainty in Early Season Sports

Think about it. We're in early April, right? Every fan out there is trying to get a read on who the Seahawks really are under Sam Darnold, or if the Mariners can keep up this pace. You're looking at Rashid Shaheed's breakout potential, wondering if Vince Dunn can anchor that Kraken defense. We're all trying to predict the future, trying to find that edge. But CBS Sports is literally out here telling us that "Odds and lines [are] subject to change." They're even upfront that their content has commercial interests. It's a stark reminder that in this wild world of sports, especially in the early going, certainty is an illusion. Every hot take, every early season prediction, every single "sure thing" is really just part of the show. We're the ones bringing the real stakes, our passion!

So What's At Stake For The 12s Now?

So, what does this all mean for us? For the 12s, for the Kraken faithful, for everyone rocking Sounders green? It means that while the big sites might call it "entertainment," for us, it's everything. It's about showing up, whether it's for the next Mariners game with Cal Raleigh behind the plate or watching Jordan Morris tear up the pitch for the Sounders. It means we keep screaming for Sam Darnold and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, we keep riding with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle. Because even if the "outcome of any game or event" isn't warranted by the media, our dedication absolutely is. Let's keep the faith, Seattle. We'll bring the passion, no matter what disclaimers they throw our way. Go Seattle!
