Arizona's Latest Move For Milan Momcilovic Is Absolute CHAOS Before the Deadline

Alright, sports fam, buckle up because the college hoops world is absolutely COOKING right now, and one name is at the center of it all: Milan Momcilovic. This dude, a former Iowa State sharpshooter, has everyone on the edge of their seats with the NBA Draft decision deadline coming Wednesday night. We're talking about a player who absolutely tore it up last season, setting a school record with 136 three-pointers. And now, things just got wilder.

The Momcilovic Mania is REAL

Seriously, this guy isn't just good, he's a certified bucket-getter. Last season, he averaged 16.9 points and shot a mind-blowing 48.7% from beyond the arc. That's not just good, that's ELITE. Back on April 12, he threw his name into both the NBA Draft and the transfer portal, keeping all his options open. He even showed up at the NBA Scouting Combine in Chicago this month. But here's the kicker: with the deadline breathing down his neck, he still hasn't told anyone what he's doing! Kentucky, Duke, and St. John's have all been reportedly chasing him hard, trying to get him to come back to college ball. Everyone knew this decision was gonna be huge for the 2026 college basketball season, but nobody expected THIS.

Arizona Just Blew Up the Transfer Portal

Just when you thought you had a handle on things, Field of 68 drops a bomb: Arizona has officially jumped into the mix as a suitor for Momcilovic's return to college. Why the sudden interest from the Wildcats? Well, their own standout Koa Peat is reportedly locked into the NBA Draft. He's not coming back for his sophomore season, leaving a massive void. So, Arizona is swinging for the fences, trying to land a guy who can immediately replace that kind of firepower. But get this, whoever lands Momcilovic, if he decides to skip the NBA, is going to have to open their wallets WIDE. CBS Sports is reporting he's commanding approximately $6 million just to return to college. SIX MILLION DOLLARS! That's a whole new level of recruiting right there. The stakes are insane! This Momcilovic saga is exactly what we live for, isn't it? One of the best shooters in college history, tied for second in Iowa State career threes with 260, only 10 behind the leader Jake Sullivan. His decision on Wednesday night is going to send shockwaves through college basketball, potentially reshaping the landscape for next season. Who's gonna pony up the cash? Will he actually return, or will the NBA come calling? We're all glued to our phones, waiting for the announcement. It's gonna be epic!
