Get ready, Washington, because this Saturday, May 23, promises an unforgettable display of prep softball excellence!

Unstoppable Forces Collide in Morning Showdowns

Two thrilling semifinal matchups are slated to ignite the diamond at 9:00 AM. On one side of the bracket, the dominant **Skyline Spartans**, boasting an incredible 20-1 record, will go head-to-head with the formidable **Issaquah Eagles**, who carved their path with an impressive 17-4 season. This is a clash of District rivals often, bringing an extra layer of intensity to what is already a high-pressure situation. Skyline's near-perfect record speaks volumes about their consistency and talent, likely powered by a stingy pitching staff and a deep lineup of clutch hitters. Issaquah, not to be outdone, has proven their mettle against top competition, showcasing resilience and clutch performances throughout their season. Coached by their dedicated staff, both teams have pushed themselves to excel. Fans can expect a strategic battle, where every pitch, every at-bat, and every defensive play will be magnified.

Graham-Kapowsin and Richland Face Off in a Battle of Titans

In the other blockbuster semifinal, the state's top-ranked **Graham-Kapowsin Eagles**, with an astounding 22-1 record, are set to challenge the powerful **Richland Bombers**, who enter with a stellar 23-3 mark. This game features two of the most successful programs in recent 4A history, renowned for their disciplined play and championship pedigree. Graham-Kapowsin has been virtually unstoppable this season, fueled by a relentless offense and stifling defense, proving why they are considered a perennial favorite under their strong leadership. Richland, however, is no stranger to deep playoff runs, and their 23 wins are a testament to their ability to grind out victories against any opponent. Led by experienced coaches and star athletes, both teams will leave everything on the field in pursuit of a berth in the championship game. The tactical decisions, the individual brilliance, and the collective will to win will be on full display in this high-stakes encounter.

The Hard Road to Glory

These athletes, representing schools from across the WIAA's 4A classification, have poured their hearts and souls into this season. We've seen incredible talent emerge throughout the state in past years, from players like Skyview's Maddie Milhorn, a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year, to Lynden's Kyleigh McVie, who earned Athlete of the Week honors. While these particular stars may not be on the 2026 4A semifinal rosters, their excellence is a testament to the high bar set for Washington high school softball. The teams remaining in this tournament embody that same dedication. The grind of district play, the intensity of regionals, and the pressure of the state tournament have all led to this point. Only two teams will advance to the championship round, but all four have earned the right to be called contenders. The entire Washington high school sports community will be watching as these exceptional young athletes chase their dreams, showcasing the very best of prep softball in the Evergreen State.
