Knicks Swept the 76ers 144-114 and Took Over Their Own Arena Like They Owned the Place

The New York Knicks just walked into Philadelphia and turned the Xfinity Mobile Arena into Madison Square Garden North. A record-setting 144-114 demolition job in Game 4 on Sunday clinched a sweep of the 76ers and sent the Knicks back to the Eastern Conference finals for the second straight year. But here's the thing: the noise celebrating wasn't coming from the New York bench. It was the sea of Knicks fans who basically invaded a road arena and made it feel like home.

Josh Hart Couldn't Help Himself

After the blowout win, Knicks forward Josh Hart took a direct shot at Philadelphia fans that immediately went viral. "I used to think Philly was a sports town. I don't know if it is anymore," he said. "Everybody was begging for Philly fans not to sell their tickets. It never felt like a road game." That's not just trash talk. That's a guy watching his team completely control the atmosphere in an opponent's building and calling it out. The Knicks weren't just winning the series. They were winning the arena.

The 76ers Had No Answer

This wasn't some nail-biter that went down to the final seconds. The game and the entire series were basically decided by halftime. 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey, trying to lead his team out of the mess, acknowledged the brutal reality: "It absolutely sucks, it just sucks. There's only one way to put a stop to it: We have to go out there and win these games. It felt louder in here for them than it did in the Madison Square Garden."

That's the sound of a home crowd completely drowned out by the visiting team's fans. That's the sound of a sweep.

The Knicks are heading to the Eastern Conference finals for the second straight year. And they did it in a way that left Philadelphia fans questioning everything.
