Weather Wipes Out Mets-Rockies Matchup, Wednesday Night Game Now a Late-Night Affair

Bad weather just shut down the Colorado Rockies and New York Mets series. The game originally scheduled for tonight at 6:40 p.m. MT has been postponed due to inclement weather. MLB rescheduled it for Thursday, May 7 at 3:10 p.m. ET, which translates to 1:10 p.m. MT. But that's not all the schedule shuffling fans need to know about.

Wednesday Night Gets a Major Time Shift

If you were planning to catch Wednesday's game at the usual afternoon slot, pump the brakes. First pitch has been moved from 1:10 p.m. MT all the way to 9:20 p.m. ET, which is 7:20 p.m. MT. That's a significant push into the evening, so clear your schedule if you want to be there in person.

What This Means for Your Tickets

Here's the breakdown for ticket holders who bought directly from the Rockies: you'll get an email with the details. Your tickets are good for the rescheduled game. If you can't make either the new Wednesday night slot or the Thursday afternoon game, you have options based on how you purchased. You can either keep your ticket or use an online credit or refund option before first pitch of the rescheduled game.

A few important notes: free tickets have zero value and cannot be refunded or exchanged. Discounted tickets are only valid for what you actually paid and are subject to any original sale constraints. If you grabbed tickets through SeatGeek or other secondary markets, those are locked in for the rescheduled game only. Secondary market buyers who can't make the new date need to contact their original seller for options, not the Rockies directly.
