Will Rogers is set to become the 40th starting quarterback for the Washington Huskies in the past five and a half decades. Most Husky quarterbacks usually come in as freshmen or sophomores' but Rogers (and Penix before him) are different. Rogers comes in as a fifth-year- seniors where he posted a 23-17 record at Mississippi State.

Rogers has a solid pedigree. He ranks as the SEC's second all-time leading passer after with 12,315 yards. Which is better than legends like Peyton Manning, Joe Burrow, Matt Stafford, etc. His style is more of a quick passing short yardage thrower (not saying he can't go deep). But coming from the late Mike Leach system he was taught to prioritize short quick throws. If Rogers has a big year, it could prove to be a huge year for the Washington Huskies.
