WSU Football Wrapped Up Spring Ball and Isaiah Hung, Hudson Cedarland Are Ready to Show What They've Got

The Washington State Cougars just finished their final spring ball practice on Thursday, and now they're gearing up for the Crimson and Gray Spring Game on Saturday. That means linebacker Isaiah Hung and tight end Hudson Cedarland are about to get their moment in the spotlight, and coach Derek Sage has already had them doing media availability to talk about where the team stands heading into the showcase.

Spring Ball Wrapping, Spring Game Saturday

This is the last real chance for players to make an impression before the team breaks for the summer. The Cougars held their final practice session Thursday, which means everyone on the roster has been putting in serious work during the spring slate. For a program trying to build momentum, these last few days of practice and the spring game itself are critical. Hung and Cedarland are two of the guys Coach Sage wanted talking to the media, which tells you they're players he's counting on moving forward.

Hung and Cedarland Getting Their Shot

Both players took time for media availability, giving fans and reporters a chance to hear directly from them about their development this spring. That kind of access right before the spring game is pretty rare, so it signals these two are guys the coaching staff believes in heading into the offseason and beyond. Whether it's what Hung brings at linebacker or what Cedarland can do at tight end, they're clearly part of the Cougar plans.

What's Next

The Crimson and Gray Spring Game is coming Saturday, and that's when you get to see all these guys in live action. This is the annual showcase that gives fans a chance to see who's making moves during the spring session and who's ready to compete when fall camp rolls around. After that, it's offseason work and prep for next season.
