WWE Just Handed The CW the Crown Jewel: All NXT Premium Live Events, Starting This Summer

The wrestling world got a major shakeup on Tuesday. WWE announced it's bringing every single NXT premium live event exclusively to The CW, starting with The Great American Bash this summer. This isn't some footnote deal either. We're talking about the next 20 premium live events over the next several years, all airing simultaneously live across the country. For the first time ever, NXT's biggest matches are hitting broadcast television.

The CW Just Became the Home for Everything NXT

Here's what makes this move massive: The CW was already running NXT's weekly Tuesday night show. Now they've got the whole package. Every premium live event, every championship match, every storyline that matters for WWE's up-and-coming talent. It's one destination for fans who want to follow the future of the company.

Brad Schwartz, president of The CW, didn't hold back in his statement: "WWE NXT has energized our Tuesday nights by consistently delivering a loyal and passionate fanbase to The CW every week. Adding WWE NXT Premium Live Events to our schedule is a natural fit, providing one broadcast destination for audiences to watch all their favorite Superstars, storylines and championship matches."

This Is What Commitment Looks Like

Remember, NXT signed a five-year deal with The CW back in October 2024 to broadcast weekly programming. Less than two years into that arrangement, and they're already expanding. This move signals that the partnership is working exactly like both sides hoped.

Shawn Michaels, WWE's senior vice president of talent development creative, put it plainly: "The CW has played an integral role in raising the profile of our up-and-coming Superstars, and we are excited to bring NXT Premium Live Events to broadcast television for the first time ever."

The Great American Bash kicks things off this summer. For wrestling fans in the Emerald City, this means easier access to watch the next wave of WWE talent develop in real time, all on one network.
