20 Five-Stars in the 2026 Class: 18 Already Committed, But These Two Have the Whole Country Waiting

The college basketball recruiting battle for the Class of 2026 is nearly done. Out of 20 five-star prospects ranked in the SC Next 100, 18 have already committed to their schools. But two players are still keeping everyone on the edge of their seats: No. 1 prospect Tyran Stokes hasn't announced yet, and No. 9 Dylan Mingo just reopened his recruitment after decommitting from North Carolina.

The Uncommitted Five-Stars Everyone Is Chasing

Tyran Stokes, the consensus No. 1 player in the class, is the biggest prize still on the market. Every major program in America wants him, and the silence from his camp has scouts and analysts refreshing their feeds constantly. Meanwhile, Mingo's decision to back away from his North Carolina commitment created chaos in the recruiting world and sent programs scrambling to get in the mix.

Where the Elite Talent Is Landing

The recruiting dominoes have been falling fast. Recent commitments have started to show which programs are winning the recruiting wars for top talent. Caleb Holt, the No. 4-ranked prospect in the SC Next 100, committed to Arizona on April 27, 2026, giving the Wildcats a massive get in the loaded class.

What's Next

All eyes are on Stokes and Mingo. With 18 of the 20 five-stars already committed, the final pieces of this recruiting class will reshape college basketball for years to come. When these two make their decisions, the entire landscape shifts. Every program knows their roster depends on landing these elite pieces.
