Andy Pages Just Hit 3 Homers and 6 RBIs and the Astros Never Had a Chance

The Los Angeles Dodgers absolutely demolished Houston on Wednesday, winning 12-2 behind one of the most dominant individual performances you'll see early in the season. Andy Pages set career highs with three home runs and six RBIs, and honestly, once he got going, the game was over.

Pages Takes Over the Game

Pages connected on a three-run homer off Lance McCullers Jr. (who took the loss at 2-3), and that was just the beginning. He finished the night with three dingers total and six RBIs, completely burying Houston's pitching staff. When one guy is doing that kind of damage at the plate, there's nothing the other team can do. The Astros just had to watch it happen.

Glasnow's Early Exit, the Bullpen Picks It Up

Tyler Glasnow started for LA but didn't make it through the first inning cleanly. He gave up a solo home run before leaving the game with low back pain before the second inning even started. That's the kind of thing that could derail a team's momentum, but the Dodgers' bullpen stepped up huge. Jack Dreyer (2-3) took over and pitched two scoreless innings for the win. Six relievers total pitched after Glasnow departed, and they held Houston to just one run the rest of the way. That's shutdown relief when you need it most.

Ohtani Breaks Through

Shohei Ohtani, who had been in a bit of a slump, broke out with two hits to contribute to LA's dominant performance. Sometimes you need one of those nights where multiple guys are clicking at the same time, and that's exactly what the Dodgers got.

The Dodgers will look to keep rolling next time out. When Pages is hitting like that and the bullpen is dealing, this team is nearly impossible to beat.
