Blackhawks Roll Into Seattle Looking to Snap a Five-Game Skid
Chicago comes to Climate Pledge Arena tomorrow night riding a brutal losing streak, and the Kraken have a real chance to capitalize on a team that is clearly struggling. The Blackhawks just dropped a 3-1 decision to the Oilers on April 2, and that loss pushed their losing streak to five games. They need a road win badly, and Seattle is the next stop on what has been a rough journey.
Chicago's Rough Stretch
The Blackhawks have been bleeding losses lately. After falling 3-1 to the Oilers, they're desperate to get back in the win column. Before that, they lost 5-3 to the Devils and got hammered 6-1 by the Rangers on the road. The team has ruled two defensemen out for the remainder of the season, which means their blue line is already thin heading into this matchup. With forward depth questions and injury concerns piling up, Chicago is vulnerable right now.

Seattle needs to take advantage of a struggling opponent coming into town. The Kraken have Jordan Eberle and the rest of the roster ready to play at home, where they should be able to control the tempo. Joey Daccord between the pipes will need to be sharp, but a Blackhawks team on a five-game skid is exactly the kind of opponent you want to face when you're looking to build momentum. This is a chance for the home squad to prove they can execute against a reeling division opponent.
What's Next
Puck drops tomorrow night, April 5. The Blackhawks are desperate; the Kraken are hungry. This is a matchup Seattle should be favored in, and a win would send a real message that the team can take care of business at home when the opportunity presents itself.
