Connor Ingram Started Three Straight and the Oilers Still Won't Say Who's Getting Game 4

Here's the thing about trailing 2-1 in a playoff series: you're desperate for answers. And Edmonton is keeping its cards close to the chest on the biggest one.

Connor Ingram has been the guy between the pipes for the first three games of the Oilers' Stanley Cup first-round matchup against the Anaheim Ducks. But with the higher-seeded Oilers down 2-1 heading into Game 4, the team still hasn't committed to whether Ingram stays in net or if Tristan Jarry gets the call.

The Silence Speaks Volumes

When a coach won't announce his starting goalie before a playoff game, it usually means one of two things: either he's trying to mess with the other team's head, or he genuinely hasn't decided. Either way, it's a sign of urgency. The Oilers are chasing this series, and they're looking for any edge they can find.

Ingram's been out there all three games so far. That's a lot of work. Whether he gets the start in Game 4 or whether they go back to Jarry will tell you a lot about how the coaching staff sees things playing out.

Game 4 Is Everything Right Now

The Ducks have them on their heels. This is exactly the spot where a team either buckles down and forces a Game 5, or it starts thinking about next season. Every decision matters now, including who's tending goal on Sunday.

We'll find out soon enough who gets the nod. But the fact that Edmonton isn't saying yet? That's the real story.
