Cubs Keep Rolling Past Dodgers and Nobody's Stopping Them Right Now

The Chicago Cubs are on a tear. They just beat the Los Angeles Dodgers late in the game for their 10th straight win, and at this point in the season, that kind of momentum is the thing nightmares are made of for the rest of the division.

Dansby Swanson Takes Over Late

This wasn't some squeaker that came down to a late error or a lucky break. Dansby Swanson stepped up when it mattered most and hammered a homer to key the Cubs' rally past the Dodgers. That's the kind of clutch hit that wins ballgames in April and sets the tone for the entire season. When your best players show up in the biggest moments, you're a team to worry about.

Ten Straight and Counting

A 10-game winning streak in late April isn't just noise. It's a statement. The Cubs are playing the kind of baseball that makes front offices around the league sit up and take notice. Meanwhile, the Dodgers just got pushed back, and that's got to sting given the expectations in Los Angeles heading into the year.

The Cubs are rolling, and there's no indication they're slowing down anytime soon. Swanson's doing his job at the plate when it counts, and the rest of the lineup is backing him up. This is what a team firing on all cylinders looks like in April, and if this pace holds, Chicago's going to be a force the whole way through.
