Dana Beers Lost His Bet and His Hair on the Biggest NBA Playoff Friday of 2026

Friday, May 8, 2026 was not a good day for Dana Beers. The guy literally had to shave his head on live television because he got his playoff prediction completely wrong. He bet the Celtics would beat the 76ers. They didn't. Welcome to the consequences of a bad sports take.

The crew on Wake Up Barstool's special Friday episode, including T-Bob, Mike Katic, and Meagan Makin' Money, spent the full show breaking down what's actually happening in the NBA Playoffs. The Pistons beat the Cavs, and the league is heating up exactly like you'd expect in May. This is the stuff that matters. This is the stuff that gets people talking.

The NCAA Tournament Just Got Bigger, and Nobody's Ready

In the middle of all the playoff chaos, the crew shifted gears to talk about the NCAA basketball tournament expanding to 76 teams. That's a massive move for college hoops, and it's worth paying attention to. The implications are still rolling through the conversation, and Barstool didn't hold back on what it all means.

New Segments, New Energy, Same Great Show

Friday's episode brought a fresh segment called WUB at the Club that added some new flavor to the lineup. Meagan presented her Money Corner like always, keeping the financial angle sharp. Then Dana Beers rolled out his top NBA Draft prospects because the draft conversation is already heating up alongside the playoffs.

They played Smash or Pass, fielded questions from the audience, and kept things moving at that perfect pace where you're never bored. This is what Friday on FS1 looks like when you've got the right crew and the right moment.

The Pistons beat the Cavs. The Celtics lost to the 76ers. Dana's head is shaved. The NCAA tournament is bigger now. Welcome to May in the sports world, where everything matters and nothing is safe.
