Dansby Swanson's 9th-Inning Blast Sends Cubs Past Dodgers, Makes It 10 Straight

The Chicago Cubs just walked into Dodger Stadium and beat the defending champs. Again. This is getting ridiculous, and honestly, kind of beautiful to watch if you're not a Los Angeles fan.

In front of a packed house on Friday night, the Cubs staged a come-from-behind 6-4 victory that extended their winning streak to 10 games. Dansby Swanson came through with a two-run blast in the ninth inning that ended it, capping off a night where the Cubs' offense just kept finding ways to hurt the Dodgers when it mattered most.

The Cubs Keep Rolling Despite Everything Working Against Them

Here's what's wild about this Cubs team right now: the roster looks different every game. Players are getting hurt. The bullpen is stretched thin. Depth is being tested constantly. And yet they keep winning. On Friday, it was a combination of veteran clutch hitting and some steady defensive work that got the job done.

Nico Hoerner flashed his glove and his bat. Alex Bregman finally delivered a big moment for the Cubs. And when the game came down to the final at-bat, Swanson was ready. That's playoff-caliber baseball in late April, and the Dodgers had no answer for it.

The Bullpen Holds Strong When It Counts

With injuries piling up and options running thin, reliever Ryan Hoerner stepped up and delivered when the Cubs needed him most. That's the kind of contribution that doesn't always show up in the box score, but it's exactly what separates winning streaks from one-game wonders.

The Cubs head into the next stretch with all the momentum in the world. Ten in a row at this point in the season sends a message: this team knows how to win close games, and they're not backing down from anyone, even the two-time defending champs.
