Devin Carter Just Dropped 29 and 9 on the Warriors, and Sacramento Isn't Slowing Down

Devin Carter had the kind of night that makes you sit up and take notice. The Sacramento Kings' guard torched the Golden State Warriors for career highs across the board, setting new personal bests with 29 points, nine rebounds, and six made 3-pointers to lead Sacramento to a 124-118 victory on Friday night.

This wasn't some hot-hand aberration either. Carter was efficient as hell, shooting 11-for-18 from the floor and a ridiculous 6-for-11 from deep. When you're hitting shots at that clip against a Warriors defense that still has some teeth, you're doing something right.

Carter's Breaking Out at the Right Time

For a Kings team trying to stay relevant in a crowded Western Conference, having a young guard step up and deliver like this matters. Carter filled the entire box score, not just padding stats. Nine rebounds from a guard shows he was in the right places, making winning plays, getting his hands dirty.

The Warriors came to Sacramento looking to grab a road win, but Carter's performance made sure that wasn't happening. At 124-118, this wasn't a blowout, but it was decisive. Golden State couldn't stop the bleeding, and Sacramento capitalized on that momentum.

What's Next for Sacramento

When a young player starts posting career nights like this, it's the kind of sign that changes how you think about a team's ceiling. Kings fans have to feel good about what they just watched. Carter's efficiency, his willingness to play inside and out, and his ability to impact the game in multiple ways is exactly what Sacramento needs moving forward.

The Warriors will regroup, but Friday belonged to Devin Carter and the Kings. That's the story.
