Dude Perfect Copied Lil Sas' Viral Sketch Word For Word, and Twitter's the Only Reason Anyone Noticed

Okay, so here's the thing about content online these days: basically everything is a remix of something else. Twitter proves it every single day, same ten joke formats just reshuffled to fit whatever's happening. But even by internet standards, what Dude Perfect just pulled off is pretty wild.

The trick shot crew straight up recreated Lil Sas' viral sketch. Line for line. Beat for beat. The whole thing. We're not talking inspiration or homage here. We're talking a near-perfect copy of a very popular sketch that everyone on social media has been talking about.

How Did They Almost Get Away With This?

Here's what's actually nuts about it: Dude Perfect could have pulled this off if they'd just remembered one crucial detail from the original. The key line that makes the whole sketch work? That offscreen friend saying "How are you gonna pay rent?" That's the moment that lands. That's what people remember.

But Dude Perfect ditched that. They left out the background character with the critical line, which means their version is just a bizarre near-perfect replica without the punchline that actually makes it work. Anyone paying attention to Twitter or sketch comedy on social media can see exactly what happened here.

The Problem? Most People Aren't Paying Attention

Here's where it gets weird: Dude Perfect probably gets away with this anyway. Twitter's user base is shockingly small compared to the rest of the internet. So while the people who actually live online will clock this immediately, the rest of the world? They're just going to think this is a Dude Perfect original sketch. Congrats on all the success, Dudes.

It's a genuinely strange move for a crew built on trick shot content. You can't really steal making a three pointer from a water tower. But you apparently can copy someone's viral moment and hope the algorithm works in your favor.
