Dustin May Takes the Mound Tonight as Cardinals Fight to Stop Their Skid

The St. Louis Cardinals are turning to Dustin May to snap a losing streak, bringing him to the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates. It's a move born out of necessity as the Cards look to get back on track and stop the bleeding before things get worse.

May Gets the Call in Must-Win Territory

When a team is struggling, you turn to your best arms. That's exactly what the Cardinals are doing by handing May the ball for this matchup. The Pirates are coming in, and St. Louis needs a statement performance from their starter if they're going to turn this thing around. Every game matters in April, and this one carries real weight for a team trying to establish early momentum.

Pittsburgh's Getting a Tough Test

The Pirates are walking into a situation where the Cardinals have everything to prove. A struggling team with a quality starter on the mound is dangerous. May will be looking to put together a quality outing, and if he does, it could be exactly what St. Louis needs to get back to winning ways.

First pitch is coming, and the Cardinals are banking on May to deliver when the pressure is on. This is the kind of game that defines early seasons: will the struggling team find their footing, or will the problems keep piling up? For St. Louis, it all starts with what happens on the mound tonight.
