Five Buckeyes and Simpson Ready for the Green Room in Pittsburgh

The 2026 NFL draft is about to get a whole lot louder, and five Ohio State players are counting down the days. Come April 23, Caleb Downs, Kayden McDonald, Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles, and Carnell Tate will all be sitting in the green room in Pittsburgh, waiting to hear their names called in the first round. That's the moment every college player dreams about, and these Buckeyes are ready for it.

A Historic Class Heads to the Podium

It's not just the five Ohio State guys making the trip, either. Ty Simpson is also among the 16 draft attendees heading to Pittsburgh for the first round. When these players hear their names, they will step out to applause, shake hands with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and get the hug every draftee dreams of since they were kids throwing footballs in their backyard.

Ohio State's Legacy on the Line

Ohio State has a real shot at joining some elite company here. If four of their players get selected in the first round, the Buckeyes would be only the third school ever to pull that off. Michigan State did it in 1967, and Notre Dame before that in 1946. That's the kind of historical moment that reminds you why college football in the fall matters so much. These guys aren't just getting drafted, they're potentially adding another chapter to Ohio State's draft legacy.

Mark your calendar for April 23. Pittsburgh is about to be the place where dreams come true for five Buckeyes and a whole lot of other college stars ready to start their NFL journeys.
