Franz Wagner's Calf Strain Has Orlando Magic Sweating Before Game 5

The Magic are dealing with a fresh injury scare heading into Game 5, and it could not come at a worse time. Franz Wagner has been diagnosed with a calf strain and is uncertain to play in the upcoming matchup, adding another layer of uncertainty to a squad already fighting through a brutal season.

Wagner's Injury Piles On

For Orlando, Wagner's calf injury is the last thing they needed right now. The German forward has been struggling throughout the entire season, and now the team has to figure out whether he can even take the court for Game 5. Being uncertain for such a crucial contest puts the Magic in a tough spot as they try to keep their season alive.

Stacking Injuries and Questions

This is not the first issue Wagner and the Magic have dealt with this year. The fact that he is now dealing with a calf strain on top of everything else shows just how much Orlando has been fighting an uphill battle. Every game matters at this point, and losing a key piece, even temporarily, changes the calculus for how they approach Game 5.

The Magic will need to wait and see if Wagner can go, and if he cannot, they will have to dig deep and find another way to compete. Either way, Game 5 is coming, and Orlando needs answers fast.
