Freddie Freeman's Fourth Child Is Finally Here, and It's the Moment His Family Has Been Waiting For

Freddie Freeman and his wife Chelsea just announced the arrival of their fourth child, London Rosemary Joy, born on Sunday. And after three boys, this one hits different: London is their first girl, and the Freemans have been counting down to this moment for months.

Three Boys, One Pink Cloud, and Finally a Girl

Back in March, the Freemans posted a video on Instagram that said everything you need to know about how much this mattered. Their three boys each stepped up to the plate and hit balls filled with pink dust off a tee. Simple. Perfect. The caption read: "After three boys... The moment we've been waiting for."

It wasn't spontaneous excitement either. A month before the gender reveal, Chelsea and Freddie had already shared that London would be arriving via surrogacy, giving fans a window into their journey to expand the family.

Freeman's Return to the Lineup

London's arrival on Sunday came right on schedule with the Los Angeles Dodgers' game against the Colorado Rockies. The team placed Freeman on the paternity list ahead of that matchup, which meant he sat out two games while welcoming his newest daughter. On Tuesday, the Dodgers reinstated Freeman, ready to get back to work.

Through 20 games this season, Freeman is hitting .296 with three home runs and 14 RBIs. Not bad for the early going, and now he's back in the lineup to keep that pace rolling.
