George Pickens Went AWOL In Dallas, And It's A Vibe Check For The Whole League

Alright, listen up, because while we're usually all about our guys putting in the work, sometimes you just gotta look at the chaos elsewhere. And trust me, what's happening down in Dallas with their Organized Training Activities? It's a whole vibe. Wide receiver George Pickens, straight up, was not even there for it today. Not a good look, and you gotta wonder what that means for them going forward. This isn't just a missed practice, folks, this is a statement, and the ripple effects could be real.

Missing In Action? Not A Good Start.

You heard it right, George Pickens, the Cowboys wideout, was a complete no-show when their OTAs kicked off. Like, seriously? This is supposed to be where you build that chemistry, get those reps in, and show you're ready to grind. This is early season stuff, getting the team form locked down. Mike Doocy and Sam Gannon even had to talk about what they *did* see at practice on "Free 4 All+", which, let's be real, probably meant talking about who *was* there, because the big story is who *wasn't*. This kind of move, it just makes you shake your head. Early season, building form, and a key player is already off the radar. Not the kind of emerging trend you want if you're trying to win, is it?

Beyond The Field, Chaos Is Still The Name Of The Game

But hey, it's not just the gridiron that's got everyone scratching their heads. You think Pickens being a no-show is wild? Get this: in Frisco, opening statements just started in the murder trial of Karmelo Anthony, and the jury got finalized without any Black members after a super contested selection process. Seriously, that's heavy, right? And what about this? A Dallas comedian is straight up wondering how the guy who allegedly assaulted her at a Lower Greenville bar was allowed to work with alcohol, especially after his "extensive criminal history" came to light. It's like, how do these things even happen? Plus, there's a whole investigation launched by Texas into Celsius Holdings, Inc. because they're apparently using youth-oriented branding to push highly caffeinated energy drinks to kids and teens. Talk about shady, going after the youth market like that! And then you have some dude on a Frontier Airlines flight assaulting a flight attendant and trying to bolt from the plane mid-flight before passengers literally pinned him down. This isn't even touching on the Texas lawmaker pledging to rename a highway after President Donald Trump, or the Texas power grid saying they're prepping for record electricity demand this summer. You just can't make this stuff up, folks. So yeah, a lot of wild stuff happening outside our beautiful Pacific Northwest bubble. While we're looking forward to our next game, wherever that may be, it's clear some teams, and some cities, have got some serious issues to sort out. It makes you appreciate the grind, the dedication, and the straight-up lack of this kind of drama right here. Keep your eyes peeled, folks, because the world is always spinning, and sometimes, the craziest stories aren't even on the field.
