Giants and Cowboys Open 2026 on Sunday Night Football, and the Rest of the Schedule Drops Thursday

The Giants and Cowboys are going to kick off the 2026 season in primetime on Sunday Night Football, and that's official. This is the kind of matchup the NFL loves to lead with, and now we're waiting on the full picture of what comes next.

The Schedule Reveal Is Coming Soon

The Giants' complete 2026 schedule will drop Thursday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET. You'll be able to find it on the Giants' website, their app, and across their social media channels. So if you're trying to plan out your season, circle that date. This is when you finally see who they're facing and when, instead of just knowing they open against Dallas in the biggest spotlight possible.

Week 1 Sets the Tone

Opening on Sunday Night Football against a division rival is never a bad thing. It's the kind of stage that gets everyone's attention right away. The Giants and Cowboys have a long history, and kicking off the season between these two teams in primetime just makes sense from the NFL's perspective. It's the kind of matchup that gets people talking before the season even officially starts.

Once the full schedule drops Thursday night, we'll have the whole picture of what the Giants' path looks like for 2026. Until then, at least we know how it begins.
