GMs Have Spoken: A'ja Wilson and the Aces Are the Team to Beat in 2026
The WNBA GM survey is in, and the verdict is crystal clear. Las Vegas's A'ja Wilson is the favorite to win the Kia WNBA MVP, and the Aces themselves are the league's pick to win the championship. When the people running the teams across the league all point in the same direction, you better pay attention.
Wilson's MVP Case Is Already Locked In
Before the 2026 season even tips off, A'ja Wilson has the target on her back as the league's most likely MVP. That's not a surprise if you've watched her play, but having every GM essentially agree on it says everything. Wilson has been the Aces' engine for years now, and this season figures to be no different. The question isn't whether she'll be great, it's whether anyone else will step up enough to challenge her for individual honors.

The Aces didn't just get Wilson picked for MVP. The GMs voted Las Vegas to win the league championship outright. That's the kind of consensus that builds championship rosters. The Aces have built something special, and the people who know the league best are betting on them to finish the job.
The Rest of the League Is Looking Up
The Dallas Wings, meanwhile, earned recognition for their offseason moves, getting voted for the best offseason performance around the league. That's one thing the survey revealed: teams made moves this offseason, and some front offices earned real credit for the work they did.
The 2026 season is about to get real. Las Vegas looks like the team everyone else has to chase, and if the GMs are right, we're all going to be watching A'ja Wilson do what she does best.
