The Seattle Seahawks have been on a search for a new offensive coordinator, and Hank Fraley was one of the biggest names on the list. The search will continue for a new OC, but we now can confirm that the offensive line coach from the Detroit Lions is officially staying.
Fraley got a second interview with the Seahawks, and it was in person in Seattle... It felt like Fraley was going to be the guy they hire if he so chooses to come to the Seahawks. The Chicago Bears were also in the running to hire Fraley as the Bears new head coach, Ben Johnson, was the offensive coordinator above Hank Fraley in Detroit.
Fraley's wife was the first to confirm that he was staying in Detroit, as she posted this on Facebook:
Hank Fraley is not leaving the Lions... According to his wife.

Looks like the Seahawks will NOT get him as the OC. pic.twitter.com/quOMqzllhW
"Year 8 loading... Did you guys really think we would leave for Chicago?!?!? Our hearts are in Detroit!!!"
The Seahawks had FOUR other candidates that they had given interviews to. New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Minnesota Vikings assistant offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Grant Udinski, Chicago Bears interim head coach Thomas Brown and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.
None of them have been hired elsewhere, but it's been clear who is in the running for the job as the Seahawks have continued interview processes with Klint Kubiak and Grant Udinski.
There is one other candidate that WE believe could be in the running, but there is no sources behind this... It's just a person opinion. Last year, the Seahawks interviewed Houston Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik for their head coaching job, they ultimately went with Mike Macdonald.... Now, Slowik was fired as the OC for the Texans, so he will be looking for a new role.
