Jacob Misiorowski Threw The 5 Fastest Pitches Ever Recorded By a Starting Pitcher vs The Yankees Last Night... All in The 1st Inning

Milwaukee's Jacob Misiorowski did something last night that nobody has done before. In the opening frame against New York, the Brewers' starter unleashed five pitches that ranked among the fastest ever thrown by a starting pitcher in MLB history. All five came before a single out was recorded.

A Historic First Inning

Misiorowski's arm was absolutely cooking from pitch one. The velocity he displayed early in that first inning wasn't just impressive, it was unprecedented. A starting pitcher putting up that kind of heat in bunches like that is rare enough. But doing it five times in a single inning? That's the kind of thing that makes you stop and realize you're watching something special.

Milwaukee Comes Through

The Brewers backed up Misiorowski's dominant start with production on the board. They took down the Yankees with a final score of 4-3 in ten innings, with Aaron Ashby picking up the win and Fernando Cruz taking the loss. Luis García handled the save.

When your starting pitcher is throwing heat like that early, it sets the tone for everything that follows. Milwaukee capitalized on it and came away with a road victory against one of baseball's marquee franchises.

What's Next

The Brewers sit at 21-16 on the year and are clearly making waves in the National League. Meanwhile, the Yankees remain formidable at 26-14, but this loss stings. Performances like Misiorowski's first inning are the kind of moments that get remembered and talked about long after the final out.
