Jalen Williams Limps Out of Game 2 and Thunder Still Roll to 2-0 Lead Over Suns

Oklahoma City's young core just proved they can win without their full arsenal. The Thunder took down the Suns 120-107 in Game 2 to push their first-round playoff lead to 2-0, but the real story is the one that went wrong midway through: Jalen Williams left the game early with a hamstring injury.

This is the kind of moment that can define a playoff run. OKC's depth showed up when it mattered most. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the charge with 37 points and 9 assists, proving once again why he's the engine that drives this team. The Thunder's young core has now won 10 straight first-round playoff games, which is the kind of stat that makes you sit back and ask: how long can they keep this up if Williams is hobbled?

SGA Carries the Load When It Matters

Gilgeous-Alexander's 37-point, 9-assist performance was vintage clutch execution. The Suns tried to make a late push, but OKC had an answer. When a team can win Game 2 on the road with one of its key pieces dealing with an injury, that's a statement about the roster construction and the will to compete.

The Injury Cloud

Williams' hamstring issue is the kind of thing that can snowball if not managed carefully. Early-round playoff basketball is grueling, and losing depth pieces in April puts pressure on the stars to do even more. The Thunder will need to monitor this closely heading into Game 3.

OKC's next test comes soon, and they'll be looking to clinch this series while managing the health of their roster. With a 2-0 lead and SGA playing at an MVP level, the Thunder are in the driver's seat, but Williams' status is worth watching closely.
