If you were ready for a big change in 2025 with the Seattle Mariners, this is probably not the news you were looking for... Yes, they fired manager Scott Servais and brought in Dan Wilson, but many people wanted to see the front office get cleared out too.
It will not be cleared out. The news from The Seattle Times is that Jerry Dipoto is expected to return as the Seattle Mariners President in 2025.

"Dipoto’s return is not believed to be contingent on the Mariners somehow making the postseason, which remains a longshot.
General manager Justin Hollander, who signed a multiyear contract on Oct. 2 of last year when he was promoted to his current position, will also return along with most of the top members of the baseball operations staff.
The frustrating part here as a Mariners fan, is that we know that ownership doesn't care. This is good enough for them. Dipoto builds a good enough team for them to be 'close' enough and that puts people in the seats, and money in the owners pockets. Dipoto likely does not argue for more money or resources, and it works for both parties.
The Mariners made it clear that they do not care how this year goes, they wanted to move forward with Dipoto regardless...
Jerry Dipoto will be back in 2025.

Simply, the Mariners are making enough money, and this works for the owners. It's sad, but true.
"While the struggles and failures of the Mariners from mid-June to late August ultimately cost manager Scott Servais his job with 34 games remaining, the ownership group had already decided by midsummer to proceed for a 10th season with Jerry Dipoto as the head of the club’s baseball operations, The Seattle Times has learned."
Simply, the owners don't care, and it is clear.
