Karl-Anthony Towns Just Showed Up in 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' and Anne Hathaway Lost It
The New York Knicks big man landed a cameo in David Frankel's "The Devil Wears Prada 2," and it's the kind of Hollywood moment that only happens when your team is actually good. Towns appears in a scene at Miranda Priestly's Hampton house party, where he gets introduced to Andy, played by Anne Hathaway. She tells him she's a huge fan of the 7-footer and that the Knicks' season makes it thrilling "to be a New Yorker."
Hathaway's Real Knicks Fandom Is No Act
Here's where it gets fun. Hathaway showed up on "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" on Wednesday and got real about being a Knicks fan. She admitted she considered wearing an OG Anunoby jersey to the interview. "I'm very chill, loving and calm, but I'm also the type of fan that I considered wearing an OG jersey out here today," she said with a laugh. She's not the type to sit back quietly either. At games, Hathaway wants the players to know she knows who they are and believes they're going to win. "I want them to know that you can do no wrong. I'm trying to be a gentle, loving, motherly fan," she explained.

"The Devil Wears Prada 2" hit theaters Friday, one day after the Knicks absolutely demolished the Atlanta Hawks 140-89 in Game 6, advancing to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Towns contributed 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in the blowout. And if you were wondering whether Hathaway's cheerleading had any juice, Anunoby led the Knicks in scoring with 29 points and seven rebounds in that same game. Towns' cameo wasn't the only sports connection in the film either. Ciara, the wife of free agent quarterback Russell Wilson, appeared in a Met Gala scene, and Kyle Kuzma's fiancée Winnie Harlow showed up during a Milan Fashion Week montage.
