Lakers Steal Game 3 in Overtime and the Rockets Still Have No Answer For Their Defense

The Lakers just pulled off the kind of playoff win that changes a series. In a thriller that went to overtime, Los Angeles snatched Game 3 from the Rockets, putting themselves one win away from a first round sweep. This is the kind of momentum shift that makes you wonder if Houston has any answers left.

Defense Was the Difference

Here's the thing about this Lakers team right now: the Rockets had absolutely no answer for what Los Angeles threw at them defensively. When you're getting picked apart like that in a playoff game, especially one that goes to OT, you're looking at a serious problem. The Lakers' defensive intensity was the story of the night, and the Rockets just couldn't figure it out when it mattered most.

One Game Away

With this win, the Lakers are now sitting on the verge of sweeping Houston out of the playoffs in the first round. That's the kind of dominance you see when a team has figured something out and the other side has no counter. The Rockets came into this series with expectations, but so far they're watching the Lakers control the narrative.

What's Next

The series moves forward with the Lakers holding all the momentum and the Rockets facing must-win basketball. This is exactly where you want to be in a playoff matchup, and the Lakers are making the most of it. Houston will have to dig deep and find something they haven't shown yet, because what they've been doing so far isn't getting the job done.
