LeBron Just Became Only the 4th Player in NBA History to Hit 12,000 Assists and the Lakers Buried Phoenix

LeBron James made history Friday night in Los Angeles, becoming just the fourth player ever to record 12,000 career assists in NBA history. He hit that milestone with his second helper of the first quarter during the Lakers' home game against the Suns, and by the time the final buzzer sounded, Los Angeles had absolutely demolished Phoenix. That's the kind of night where the King reminds everyone why he's still operating at an elite level after all these years.

A Moment for the History Books

Think about that for a second. In the entire history of professional basketball, only four players have ever dished out 12,000 assists. LeBron just joined that club. It's not flashy, not a monster dunk or a game-winning three-pointer, but it might be the most underrated achievement in basketball. You don't rack up that many helpers by accident. That's a career built on making your teammates better, night after night, season after season.

Lakers' Dominance on Display

The Suns came to LA and got a lesson. The Lakers crushed them in a performance that showed why Los Angeles is still a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. With LeBron orchestrating the offense and feeding cutters left and right, the purple and gold controlled the game from start to finish.

This is the kind of win that matters when you're grinding through the season. Every game counts, and when you can beat a conference opponent this convincingly while also hitting historic milestones, that's the kind of night that builds momentum heading down the stretch.
