Lehkonen's Two Points Push Avalanche One Win Away From Sweeping Kings

The Colorado Avalanche are knocking on the door of a first-round exit for the Los Angeles Kings, and they're doing it in style. Artturi Lehkonen picked up a goal and an assist Thursday night as the Avalanche rolled to a 4-2 road victory, putting themselves one win away from sweeping their Western Conference first-round playoff series.

Lehkonen Leads the Way in Colorado

When you need someone to step up and deliver on the road in the playoffs, Lehkonen answered the call. His two-point night, including a goal, was the catalyst that kept Colorado's offensive pressure relentless. That's the kind of performance that puts a team on the verge of closing out a series in four games.

One More Win and It's Over

The Avalanche are now positioned to sweep the Kings and advance. One more victory and Colorado moves on. That's the power of the way they've been playing through this first-round matchup. Kings fans have to be holding their breath right now because their team is staring down elimination.

Game 4 will tell the story. Either the Kings find a way to force this back to Denver, or the Avalanche finish the job at home. That's playoff hockey, and Colorado has their hands firmly on the trophy rope right now.
