Lehkonen's Two Points Push Avalanche One Win Away From Sweeping Kings

The Colorado Avalanche are one victory away from a complete Western Conference first-round series takedown. Artturi Lehkonen drove the knife deeper Thursday night, collecting a goal and an assist as the Avalanche rolled past the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 on the road, putting themselves on the verge of a sweep.

Lehkonen's Two-Way Performance Sets the Tone

Lehkonen was the star of the show in Los Angeles, putting up a goal and an assist to lead Colorado's offensive assault. His multi-point night was exactly what the Avalanche needed to keep the Kings on their heels and push the series to the brink. Gabriel Landeskog also contributed to the effort, helping Colorado build the momentum they needed to control the game from start to finish.

One More Win to Close It Out

The Avalanche came into Thursday sitting in the driver's seat of this series, and they didn't let their foot off the gas. The 4-2 victory is the kind of statement win that puts an opponent in panic mode. Colorado is now positioned to put this series away whenever they return to the ice, and if they play the way they did in Los Angeles, the Kings won't have much of a shot at forcing a Game 5.

This is exactly the kind of hockey you want to see from a team trying to make a deep playoff run. The Avalanche are sharp, they're executing, and they're ready to close out the Kings and move forward.
