Mike Vrabel Stonewalls Questions About Dianna Russini Photos at NFL Draft Presser: "My Family Needs Me"

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel shut down all discussion about his involvement in a photo scandal with NFL reporter Dianna Russini during an NFL Draft press conference, redirecting the conversation entirely. When asked directly about the images, Vrabel's response was brief and final: "My family needs me and that's where I'll be."

The Photos That Started It All

Page Six published photos on Thursday showing the Patriots coach and the journalist cozying up together at a New York City bar in March 2020. The images resurfaced years later, creating a firestorm of attention. This wasn't the first time the two have been caught together in compromising situations either. In a separate incident, they were seen hugging at a resort in Arizona, which brought the old photos back into the spotlight.

Vrabel's About-Face and Russini's Response

Earlier comments from Vrabel about the photos had characterized the situation differently. When pressed during the draft presser, however, he made it clear he wasn't interested in rehashing the story. Meanwhile, Dianna Russini deleted her X account following the newly surfaced photos, removing herself from the immediate public conversation. The Patriots also released an official statement addressing the scandal, though the details remained measured.

What happens next remains unclear, but one thing is certain: Vrabel made his priorities known loud and clear at that podium. Family first, questions later.
