Nick Marsh Is The #3 Transfer WR, And Indiana Fans Should Be Absolutely Hyped For What's Coming

Alright, listen up, 12s, because even though we're usually all about what's happening at Lumen Field or T-Mobile Park, there's some serious college football news shaking things up for the 2026 season! We're talking about the transfer portal, and teams are already making moves that'll shape everything. You know me, I watch it all, and let me tell you, Indiana just made a play for wide receiver Nick Marsh that's got everyone buzzing. This isn't just another transfer, this guy is a game-changer, and Coach Curt Cignetti is clearly not messing around!

The Hoosiers Just Snagged A Top Target, And Other Defensive Monsters Are Moving

Indiana's offense just got a massive boost with Nick Marsh coming over from Michigan State. The guy is ranked number three among receivers and number twelve overall in ESPN's portal rankings. Think about that! Marsh isn't some unproven talent, either. He racked up 100 catches for 1,311 yards and nine touchdowns in just two seasons with the Spartans. Plus, he's got two years of eligibility left. This is exactly what Indiana needed to replace some key departures and strengthen their attack. Curt Cignetti is clearly on a mission, rebuilding that roster for 2026, and this is a statement move.

But it's not all about offense. Down in Texas, the Longhorns are getting a monster on defense with linebacker Rasheem Biles from Pittsburgh. This dude was ranked the number one linebacker in the On3 portal rankings, and for good reason! He balled out last season with 101 tackles, 17 for loss, 4.5 sacks, and even three touchdowns. Yeah, a linebacker with touchdowns! He earned second-team All-ACC honors, and Texas desperately needed help after losing players to the NFL Draft and the portal. Biles is expected to start immediately under defensive coordinator Will Muschamp and will absolutely solidify that defense for the coming season. You love to see a team addressing their needs with top-tier talent!

Quarterbacks On The Move, But One Player's Agent Is Making Headlines

The quarterback carousel is spinning wildly, too. DJ Lagway, formerly of Florida, has officially landed at Baylor. He started as a freshman in College Football 2024 and led the team in 2025, throwing for 2,264 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions in his final season. Baylor went 5,7 in 2025, so they are desperate for a rebound, and they're hoping Lagway can bring some offensive consistency. Then there's Colton Joseph, the Old Dominion quarterback who's committed to Wisconsin. Joseph had a strong 2025 season himself, tossing for 2,624 yards and 21 touchdowns. Both these guys are reshaping their new teams' quarterback rooms, showing how crucial the portal is.

However, not all moves are smooth sailing. Lance Heard, an offensive lineman, is heading to Kentucky from Tennessee, making it his third SEC school in four years. Talk about a journey! He even missed Kentucky's spring game after minor surgery and is sidelined for about four weeks. What's even wilder is that Tennessee apparently considered bringing him back, but his agent reportedly demanded a massive NIL deal. The Vols decided to look elsewhere and develop younger players instead. Heard's keeping quiet publicly about Tennessee, but you can bet there will be fireworks when Kentucky rolls into Knoxville on November 7 for their matchup. That's gonna be a must-watch game!

So, there you have it, folks. Early days in the 2026 college football season, and these transfers are already setting the stage for what looks like an insane year. Keep your eyes peeled, because these players are not just filling roster spots, they're shaping entire programs. What do you think about these moves? Hit me up on the socials, let's talk ball!
