Mariners Hit 2 Home Runs and Stun the Braves' 4, Staying Alive in May

The Mariners just pulled off exactly what they needed to do against one of the hottest lineups in baseball right now. Atlanta came to T-Mobile Park swinging for the fences and connected four times, but Seattle answered with two homers of their own and walked out of this one with a 5-4 win. This is the kind of game that matters early in the season, and the M's just proved they can trade punches with anybody.

Two Homers Were Enough

The Braves came in hot, launching four home runs and looking like they were going to run away with this thing. You know those games where the other team is just hitting everything? This felt like one of them. But here's the deal: the Mariners didn't panic. They got their two runs across via the long ball and made it count when it mattered. In baseball, you don't always need to out-slug the other guy, you just need to have the last at-bat go your way.

Early Season Statement

It's May, and the Mariners are showing they can win games in different ways. This wasn't a pitching clinic or a defensive showcase, this was a straight-up slugfest where Seattle simply outlasted Atlanta on the scoreboard. The Braves' power was real, but it wasn't enough. That's the kind of resilience you need when you're grinding through 162 games.

The Mariners are back at T-Mobile Park soon, and momentum matters in May. This win keeps the season rolling in the right direction.
