Olu Oluwatimi Is on the Jets' Radar and Seattle Fans Are NOT Having It

Alright, 12s, you gotta hear this. Just when we're gearing up for the full regular season grind, a whisper from across the country is trying to mess with our vibe. The New York Jets, yeah, *those* Jets, are apparently being told they "should consider trading for" our very own IOL, Olu Oluwatimi. Seriously? Get outta here! My phone buzzed with this news, and I nearly dropped my Pike Place roast. Our guy, getting national attention like this already? What do they think we're running here, a talent dispensary?

The Chatter From Out East

It's always something, isn't it? We're barely into the regular season, folks are just settling into their gameday routines, and then some East Coast outfit tries to stir the pot. This isn't just some random fan, it's a legitimate suggestion popping up in their own media that they "should consider trading for" our very own IOL, Olu Oluwatimi. Like, excuse me? You just gonna come over here and start eyeing our roster? We're talking about one of *our* guys, an interior offensive lineman vital to what we're building. When I saw this, I practically spat out my coffee. The nerve! Do they think we're running a revolving door of talent here? Nope, not on our watch.

Keeping Our Emerald City Core

Look, on one hand, it’s a massive shout-out to the talent we've got brewing here in Seattle, right? When other teams publicly eye *our* players, it means we're doing something profoundly right. It means we have valuable guys, players like Oluwatimi who clearly make an impact and are getting noticed. That’s a good sign for the direction under Coach Macdonald and OC Fleury. But let’s be crystal clear about the 12s' stance: Our guys are *our* guys. We bleed green and blue for them. The thought of trading away any core piece, especially an IOL like Oluwatimi, part of the foundational wall protecting Sam Darnold, that's just not how we operate. We’re building something special, and you don’t just casually break up the band for the New York Jets. We trust our front office to know our value. So, as we charge into this early NFL regular season, hearing chatter like this from across the country just fires us up even more. It’s a loud reminder that every snap, every block, every single play out there matters, because the whole league is watching. We're going to keep our focus squarely on our Seahawks, on Sam Darnold hitting Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp, and on the entire squad doing their thing. We want our IOL, Olu Oluwatimi, right where he is: protecting our QB, opening those crucial lanes, and being a key part of our identity. The next time we see our guys out there, pouring their hearts out for us at Lumen Field, remember this buzz. It's just more fuel for the 12s. Let’s go, Hawks! We've got a season to win with *our* players.
