Poehling's Overtime Snipe Gives Ducks Their Third Straight Win, Has Oilers on the Brink

The Anaheim Ducks are on a roll and Edmonton is running out of time. Poehling buried the overtime winner in Game 4, sending the Ducks to their third consecutive victory and pushing the Oilers to the edge of elimination in the West first round. This is exactly the kind of momentum shift that can flip an entire series in a hurry.

Ducks Find Their Rhythm When It Matters Most

Anaheim is playing the kind of hockey you want to see in the playoffs right now. Three straight wins. That's not luck, that's execution. The Ducks had already stolen momentum from Edmonton before Poehling's shot found the back of the net in overtime, and now the series narrative has completely flipped. Game 4 was the turning point. You could feel it coming.

Granlund Ties It Up, Kapanen Strikes Early

Earlier in the game, Granlund sent it through on the power play to knot things up, keeping the Ducks within striking distance. Kapanen had struck early for Anaheim, burying the rebound in front to get the scoring started. That early goal set the tone, and the Ducks never let the Oilers get comfortable after that.

Edmonton's Margin for Error Is Gone

The Oilers are running out of time to find another level as a group. That's the reality facing Edmonton right now. With the Ducks playing this sharp and Poehling delivering in the clutch, the Oilers know exactly what's at stake. They're on the brink of elimination, and the pressure is going to be everything in the games ahead.

This is playoff hockey at its most intense. The Ducks have seized control, and Edmonton needs to respond fast. One more loss and the season is over.
