Poehling's Overtime Strike Sends Oilers to the Brink of Elimination

The Anaheim Ducks are on a roll, and Edmonton's playoff hopes are hanging by a thread. Poehling buried the overtime winner in Game 4, giving the Ducks their third straight win and pushing the Oilers right to the edge of elimination in the Western Conference first round.

Ducks Take Control With Consecutive Wins

Anaheim is not letting up. Three straight victories have completely shifted the momentum of this series, and the Oilers are running out of time to stop the bleeding. When a team goes cold in the playoffs, it shows up fast, and Edmonton is feeling the heat right now.

The Overtime Killer

Poehling's overtime goal was the dagger. It was the kind of finish that playoff hockey is built on, and it sent a message: the Ducks are ready to close this out. The Oilers fought back during regulation with Granlund tying things up on the power play, but when it matters most in OT, Anaheim had the last word.

Kapanen had opened the scoring earlier in the game with a rebound goal in front, giving Anaheim an early edge. That early momentum made all the difference as the series shifted west.

Edmonton's Window is Closing

The Oilers are one loss away from being done. There's no more room for error. Every game from here is do-or-die, and they know it. This is where playoff experience and resilience matter most, and Edmonton needs to find both fast or pack it in.

Game 5 looms with everything on the line.
