Russell Wilson Is in Deep Discussions About His Next Move, and It's Not in the NFL

The legend is moving on. According to a report, Russell Wilson is in deep discussions to join NFL on CBS, marking a major career pivot away from the field. After his historic run in Seattle, the former Seahawks star is exploring what could be the next chapter of his professional life.

What's Next for a Seattle Icon

Wilson built his legacy in the Emerald City, and now he's having serious conversations about stepping into the broadcast booth. The discussions are ongoing, but the direction is clear: Wilson is looking to transition into media rather than continue his playing career. It's a move that makes sense for someone who has been visible both on and off the field throughout his time in the league.

A New Era for the Seahawks

While Wilson charts his next course, the Seahawks are moving forward with their own fresh start. Under Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, Seattle is building around Sam Darnold at quarterback. The team has been active in the draft and free agency, confirming undrafted free agent signings and bringing in new talent as they reshape the roster for 2026. Jadarian Price and the rookie class are getting their numbers and contracts in place ahead of rookie minicamp, signaling that the organization is focused entirely on the present.

Wilson's potential media deal is just one of many storylines swirling around the organization as the offseason moves forward. For Seahawks fans, it's a moment to reflect on what he meant to the franchise while watching the team build something new under Macdonald and his staff.
