Sam Darnold Got Two Rings This Year, and One of Them Just Came With a Wedding Band
Sam Darnold is having the kind of year most people only dream about. Less than two months after parading through Seattle celebrating the Seahawks' second Super Bowl win in franchise history, the quarterback married Katie Hoofnagle on April 3 at Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa in Rancho Santa Fe, California. The couple summed it up perfectly on Instagram: "big year for rings."
This is the kind of storyline that writes itself. Darnold coming off his second straight season winning 14 games, a Super Bowl ring fresh on his finger, and now a wedding band to match. The black tie event was massive, with pictures showing Darnold sharp in a black suit and Hoofnagle radiant in a white bridal gown. The Seahawks organization couldn't resist chiming in on social media: "Congratulations to the Darnolds!"

Darnold and Hoofnagle went public with their relationship back in 2023, then announced their engagement last July. So this wedding didn't come out of nowhere, but the timing is undeniably perfect. The guy just won a Super Bowl and has now locked down a lifetime commitment. Big year for champagne too, apparently.
The Guest List Was NFL Royalty
The 227 guests read like an NFL All-Star game. According to People Magazine, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife actress Hailee Steinfeld were there. San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey brought his wife, model and actress Olivia Culpo. The rest of the guest list included Kyle Allen, Garrett Bradbury, Pat Elflein, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Christian Kirk, Luke Kuechly, Cooper Kupp, Drew Lock, Josh McCown, Nick Mullens, Brian O'Neill, Jordan Palmer, Brett Rypien, Eric Saubert, Blake Cashman, Mike White, Dan Feeney and Adam Ray.
This wasn't just a wedding. This was the offseason event for the NFL in April, and it happened right here with a Seahawks quarterback at the center of it all.
