Seahawks Adding Veteran Edge Rusher Dante Fowler Jr. to Defensive Line

The Seattle Seahawks are signing veteran edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr., according to reports. The move adds depth to the defensive line as Mike Macdonald's squad continues to build around quarterback Sam Darnold and the receiving weapons of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp.

Reinforcing the Pass Rush

Fowler Jr. brings experience to a Seahawks defensive unit that has undergone significant changes this offseason. The veteran edge rusher joins Seattle at a critical time as the team works to develop continuity on both sides of the ball under offensive coordinator Brian Fleury and the coaching staff.

The signing represents the kind of veteran presence that can help stabilize a defense in transition. Fowler has been around the league and brings the kind of experience that matters when you're trying to establish a new identity on the defensive line.

Building Around Darnold and the Offense

With Sam Darnold under center and a trio of talented receivers in place, the Seahawks are focused on constructing a complete roster. Adding a proven edge rusher like Fowler Jr. signals the organization's commitment to supporting the quarterback with both offensive weapons and defensive playmakers.

The move comes as Seattle continues to fill out its roster following a busy offseason of changes and adjustments. Fowler's addition gives the team another piece to work with as they prepare for the regular season ahead.
