The Seattle Seahawks Week 8 injury report is officially out as of Friday, and there is some good news, and unfortunately some bad news.
Ever since Week 3 the Seahawks have dealt with injuries everywhere, offense and defense. Top defensive players, and top offensive players have all been out, and it played a huge role in their three-game skid. They played THREE games in a TEN day span, and the injuries continue to pile on.
DK Metcalf, who was carted off with what was later diagnosed as an MCL sprain, has been listed as doubtful after not practicing this week. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald told media on Friday that he did not rule out Metcalf playing, but a doubtful designation historically means not playing.
Most players who have MCL sprains tend to be out two-to-four weeks, so even the idea of Metcalf playing this week and being not listed as OUT was remarkable, and a good sign that he might be able to make it back next week for Week 9 vs. the Rams.
Good news is that Tariq Woolen is not even listed on the final injury report so the Seahawks will have back their dominate duo of cornerbacks in Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon.
Here is the full Seattle Seahawks Week 8 Injury Report throughout the week. The final day, Friday, is what the players are designated as for their game status:
OUT: T Abraham Lucas
Doubtful: WR DK Metcalf, NT Cameron Young
Questionable: CB Tre Brown, DE Mike Morris, CB Nehemiah Pritchett, T George Fant
