Seahawks Rookies and Vets Finally Share The Field, and This Is What It Looks Like
Monday, May 11 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, the Seahawks did something important: they brought the rookies and veterans together for the first time this offseason. No playbooks yet, no team meetings, just guys on the same field getting a real look at each other. It matters more than you might think.
This is the moment where the 2026 draft class stops being names and jersey numbers and becomes actual teammates. Mike Macdonald's first offseason as head coach gets real when everyone is grinding together, and that's exactly what happened on Monday.

On the same day the rookies and vets took the field together, the Seahawks also signed veteran outside linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. It's a move designed to bolster the edge rush rotation, and it shows the front office is still working the roster even as the team moves deeper into the offseason program.
Fowler Jr. brings experience to a position where the Seahawks are building depth. The edge rush has been a priority, and bringing in a proven veteran to work alongside the newer pieces makes sense as we inch closer to training camp.
The Schedule Is Coming Soon
Mark your calendars: the 2026 schedule drops Thursday, May 14 at 5 p.m. PT. That's also when tickets go on sale at 4:30 p.m. PT, so if you've been waiting to lock in your seats for the season, Thursday is the day. This is the moment everything gets real. Once you see the schedule, once you know when the Seahawks are coming home to Lumen Field, the season becomes tangible.
The next three days are going to move fast. Monday's joint workout between rookies and veterans showed us that Macdonald's system is coming together. Fowler Jr.'s signing adds depth at a critical position. And Thursday, we'll finally know exactly what the road ahead looks like.
